Doug founded Decentragrid after 20+ years working every side of the energy transition — in senior roles at DECC (now DESNZ), at Ofgem, as an exec in various energy tech and retail businesses, and now as an independent adviser.
He's helped shape the rules and personally navigated them, giving him a rare view of what actually works versus what just sounds good on paper.
Doug leads with regulatory depth and a knack for turning dense concepts into plans people can actually act on.
When he's not untangling market design, he's usually explaining it to someone over a coffee, taking care of his kids or running trails. ☕

Rosina has spent over a decade at the meeting point of energy, data and technology, working with clean and climate-tech organisations since 2013.
She's the person who takes a messy, ambitious idea and figures out the data, analytics and machine learning that could actually make it real.
Rosina brings sharp technical thinking paired with genuine commercial common sense — she's as comfortable in a spreadsheet as she is explaining why it matters to someone who isn't.
Her focus: making sure good ideas are grounded in what the data can actually support.
Data, AI & ML Specialist
Richard has spent 15+ years turning complicated regulatory change into working reality — cutting his teeth on major financial regulation like EMIR, Dodd-Frank and MiFID before bringing that same rigour to energy markets.
He's the person who asks "yes, but how does this actually run on a Tuesday morning?" — translating market design into operating models real organisations can adopt.
Richard's superpower is bridging the gap between what a market should do and what it takes to make participants actually do it, day to day.
Change & Operating Model Specialist
Michael trained as an auditor at KPMG before spending years in corporate finance at S&P Global, qualifying his technical grounding in US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Since then, he's built and led finance functions inside fast-growing businesses — as FD at IDA Sports, Financial Controller at Intent HQ, Head of Finance at fintech scale-up Yobota, and Head of Finance Operations at digital bank Chetwood.
That mix of big-institution rigour and startup pace makes him at home wherever Decentragrid needs sharp financial thinking — from day-to-day operations to the numbers behind a funding bid. Michael brings the financial discipline that lets the rest of the team focus on the ideas.
